Underwater World, Pattaya

Although one might think visiting a Pattaya aquarium when one is already so close to the water is a bit strange, the gorgeous Pattaya Underwater World is a unique experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression in the minds of all guests.

Pattaya Underwater World is dedicated to the marine life that lives in and around the Pattaya area, allowing visitors to gain a better understanding of these creatures and how they interact with one another, what they eat, where they sleep, etc. A trip to Pattaya Underwater World is perfect for getting out of the hot sun and learning something new.

A highlight for most visitors is Pattaya Underwater World’s “voyage to the bottom of the sea”. This is a guided experience in which visitors will go on a simulated journey, starting on the sandy beaches of Pattaya and gradually going deeper and deeper, seeing the different species that live at each depth. The exhibit is a powerful display of the variance and size of aquatic life, giving those seeing it for the first time a new perspective.

Pattaya Aquariums

Pattaya Underwater World is one of the most popular Pattaya attractions. The aquarium is quite large, and on a site of 12 rai (a little under 5 acres), 2500 animals live and swim around. There are more than 200 different species in the place as well. Pattaya Underwater World first opened 10 years ago in 2003, and is still very well maintained.

Everything is very clean and very modern, and the overall experience is comparable with what one might find at a top-rate aquarium in any major city in the world. Prices are pretty fair, with adult tickets available for 500 baht and child tickets for 300. The aquarium is open from 9am to 6pm every day, and with a number of feedings throughout the day just about any time to start will let guests get the most out of their visit.
