Mata Hari offers an elegant fine dining experience, with a large selection of Thai and Western food and a luxurious, yet casual, atmosphere to make your evening memorable.

Opened in 1996 by Louis Noll, the restaurant quickly established itself as a firm favourite amongst resident expatriates, Thai locals and visitors in search of that special meal. It has gone from strength to strength, and its popularity shows no signs of waning.

Louis is still at the helm and has built a loyal and talented team around him. What this means to you is that service, satisfaction and mouthwatering dishes are the order of the day each and every day (except Mondays, when the team has their deserved day off).

Let’s take a look at the different areas of the restaurant first, and then touch on some of the dishes and wines that will delight you.

The Bar

The fully stocked lounge bar is the perfect place for pre-dinner drinks, or for meeting your dining companions. The relaxed mood here will set the tone for the rest of your enjoyable evening.

The Main Restaurant

Casual, elegant dining is on offer in the superbly appointed main restaurant. This wonderful setting puts you at ease immediately. There is sufficient space between each table giving your party intimacy, but a collective feeling of togetherness.

The Terrace

For those who wish to dine under the stars The Terrace is the place to be. It overlooks the tranquil garden and swimming pool, making it a perfect outdoor setting in which to savour the atmosphere as well as the food and wine on offer.

Food

They say that the “proof is in the pudding”, and, in terms choice and quality of dishes available at Mata Hari, that proof remains as strong as ever. The extensive menu offers salads, soups, and delicious Thai starters through to pasta dishes, the best quality cuts of meats, fresh seafood, and onto homemade desserts that are worthy of a holiday splurge! The ‘Specials’ menu offers an extensive array of food with something special guaranteed to catch your eye.

Wine

When it comes to wines to accompany your meal, there is an excellent choice with every major wine producing country in the world represented. Mata Hari’s sommelier is on hand to assist and advise you, a real treat and stand-out in Thailand. If you are in doubt, or would simply like to try something different to complement the dishes ordered, you should not hesitate to call on his services.

A word of advice!

Anyone who is visiting Pattaya is advised to book a table at Mata Hari during the early part of their stay. Once you have eaten there, you’ll want to try it again before you leave!
